The United States has transferred several dozen militants of the “Islamic State” (IS, banned in Russia) from prisons to its base in Syria. This is reported by the Syrian agency SANA, citing sources.
As it became known, in total, the military transported 40 terrorists to the base in the city of Al-Shaddadi. Among them is one of the leaders of a terrorist organization and a specialist in the manufacture of explosive devices. The agency emphasizes that this was done “in order to implement Washington’s plans in the region.”
In July, it was reported that the forces of the international anti-terrorist coalition, led by the United States, detained two leaders of the IG. Representatives of the coalition surrounded the house where the militants ‘ shelter was located. After unsuccessful negotiations, several bombs were dropped on the building, as a result of which three people were killed. It is assumed that they were also members of the IG.
